How OPEX Internet Voice Works

We connect you directly to the Internet:

Today, most long distance telephone calls are carried over the Internet. Yes, the big name telephone companies route calls through the Internet.

With OPEX Internet Voice your calls are transmitted directly to, and received directly from the Internet. This direct connection creates fabulous savings, and provides for new powerful Internet based phone features.

You won't hear any difference between calls made on OPEX Internet Voice and the traditional PSTN (Public ServiceTelephone Networks); but you will notice huge Savings, Free Features, and a telephone that adjusts to your Lifestyle.

What is VoIP?

What is VoIP/Internet Voice?

VoIP allows you to make telephone calls using a computer network, over a data network like the Internet. VoIP converts the voice signal from your telephone into a digital signal that travels over the internet then converts it back at the other end so you can speak to anyone with a regular phone number. When placing a VoIP call using a phone with an adapter, you'll hear a dial tone and dial just as you always have.

Broadband Internet connection

What is Broadband?

A Broadband Internet connection is a high-speed connection, typically known as ‘Cable Internet’ or ‘DSL’. A Broadband Internet connection is ‘ALWAYS ON’ and supplied either by your Cable Company through a cable modem, or by way of your local phone company or re-seller using a DSL modem. In either case you will be all set to take full advantage of the features and savings that OPEX Internet Voice has to offer!

Virtual Number

A Virtual number from OPEX Internet Voice is a number from an area of your choosing that rings your primary OPEX Internet Voice line.

Select the state, locality and area code from which you would like your Virtual number assigned.

Once assigned your Friends & Family will be able to call this local number and be connected to your OPEX Internet Voice line.

Eliminate the need for long distance charges when your friends and family call you. With a OPEX Internet Voice Virtual number in their home town you will be just a local call away!

For example:
You may live in Chicago IL, while your family lives in New York. Your primary OPEX Internet Voice telephone number will be from the Chicago area while your Virtual number may be from New York!

In this example both callers from Chicago (using your Chicago phone number) and New York callers (using your New York number) will be able to call you for FREE Think about a Virtual number as your own toll free number, for a particular market (city). What's better is that Virtual numbers, unlike traditional toll free lines, do not come with per minute charges

Equipment

All you will need, is a Broadband Internet connection and a telephone adapter.

Note: You cannot have dial-up Internet service.

You receive a Sipura Analog Telephone Adapter (ATA) that converts digital voice packets into analog signal so that you may continue using the same phones that you have in your home today.

The kit containing a Sipura Analog Telephone Adapter should also include:

SPA-2100
2 Port FXS
Analog Telephone Adapter

      One Power Supply
      One Ethernet Cable
One Analog Telephone Adapter Installation Guide

Easy Setup
Just plug in the power supply, plug in your phone, and connect the Telephone Adapter to your broadband line. The Telephone Adapter does the rest of the work automatically. You'll hear a dial tone and be ready to make calls in minutes.

Take It On the Road

Your Telephone Adapter makes a great travel companion. You can use it anywhere in the world where you have a high-speed Internet connection. Bring it anywhere overseas and you won't pay international dialing rates when you call back home. The same is true when you travel to other area codes in the US for both business and residential OPEX Internet Voice accounts.

For example, let's say that you live in Chicago and bring your Telephone Adapter on a trip to Hong Kong. With OPEX Internet Voice you can call your next-door neighbor from Hong Kong and it's priced like a local domestic call. This is also true when your neighbor calls you. So it's very convenient for people dialing you, and it's extra easy on your wallet too.

Opex VoIP Customer Testimonials

Customer Service is First Rate!

Call Quality is Exceptional!

I have tried other broad band phone providers and while most had acceptable quality where they were most lacking was in the customer service department.  With Opex I have found quality, price and customer service that puts my local phone company to absolute shame.  Thanks Opex for great service!

I have used AT&T CallVantage and Vonage in the past.  Both were OK but at times had echoes or downtime.  Since I have switched to Opex Internet Voice no one I call has any idea I am on a broad band VoIP phone.  The only reason I even have any land line based service any longer is so I can get DSL.
